DALLAS — As if carbs weren’t irresistible enough, there’s now a bread-themed hotel suite that’s sure to toss all New Year’s Resolutions out the window.
Coming in hot like every carb-lover’s greatest fantasy is Hotels.com Bread & Breakfast, a limited-time hotel room experience located in New York City’s Refinery Hotel. Opening on Jan. 17, which just so happens to be National Ditch Your Resolution Day, the Bread & Breakfast is absolutely loaded with carbs, from the moment guests check in to the time they check out.
The experience starts from the moment guests collect their room keys, which come with a sweet treat. Upon entering their room, they’ll immediately smell the scent of fresh bread coming from a bakery case stockpiled with an assortment of delectable (and free!) pastries. There’s also a cereal bar, fresh bagels and a donut wall – butter, jam and cream cheese included!
After they’ve eaten their way through the room, guests can snuggle among a pile of croissant pillows and rest their head on the toast-shaped headboard (or, rather, breadboard). And there’s no need to steal the robe – each guest is invited to take home the custom ‘Carbivore’ embroidered robe and matching baguette slippers.
The best news of all? The room service menu has been carefully curated with scrumptious starched guests absolutely knead to order. And with a US$100 credit included with their stay, the pasta-bilities are endless!
Food-centric pop-up hotels have been the latest trend in recent months, with the world’s first Nutella-inspired hotel opening last November and Taco Bell’s first-ever hotel in Palm Springs selling out in just two minutes last summer.
The Hotels.com Bread & Breakfast is priced at $225 per night and available beginning at 9 a.m., Jan. 17 through Jan. 31. For more details go to www.hotels.com/BreadandBreakfast.
