TORONTO — Less than a week after announcing new Berlin service from Toronto starting June 2019, low-cost carrier Primera Air says it will also add Frankfurt flights out of both Toronto and Montreal as of July 2019.
Both Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) will get the new routes, as will New York John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and Boston Logan Airport (BOS).
All flights will be operated on the airline’s new Boeing MAX 9 fleet with introductory fares from €149 one-way.
“We are proud to announce operations from Frankfurt International Airport, as it is one of the major European flight hubs with excellent connection possibilities,” says Anastasija Visnakova, Chief Commercial Officer. “This falls perfectly in line with our strategy to bring low-fare transatlantic flights to the major airports of Europe and North America”
Primera already operates direct flights from London (Stansted) and Paris to Toronto and Montreal. Earlier this summer Primera made the decision to suspend seasonal flights between Toronto and Birmingham because of Airbus delivery delays.
The Frankfurt service starts July 16, 2019 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays out of Montreal, and daily out of Toronto.
