TORONTO — The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Canada has introduced a new Japan Travel e-Learning Program for Canadian travel agents.
According to the JNTO, the program aims to equip agents with a superior knowledge of Japan “so that they are better able to showcase the appeals of this world-class destination to Canadian travellers.”
Canadian travel agents can now register for Course 1. Course content includes major Japanese attractions, transportation tips, seasonal hotspots, suggested itineraries, must-try regional cuisine and more.
Agents will receive a Japan Travel Advisor certificate after successful completion of Course 1, whereupon they may advance to Course 2 to earn a Japan Travel Specialist certificate. Graduates also receive benefits such as news updates and priority invitation to Japan tourism events.
To celebrate the launch of the new program, JNTO Canada is offering Canadian travel agents the opportunity to experience Japan first-hand.
Agents who complete Course 1 will be eligible to enter a draw for roundtrip air tickets to Japan courtesy of Air Canada, All Nippon Airways or Japan Airlines.
Plus, agents who complete Course 2 by March 31 will also be able to apply for a place on an exclusive FAM tour to Japan, hosted by JNTO.
