NEW YORK — Intrepid Travel is fast-tracking commissions for the month of August, providing agents $200 upfront on Intrepid and Peregrine Adventures bookings.
The offer applies to bookings made between Aug. 1-31, 2020 for trips departing between Jan. 1, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2022 on both sister brands. Minimum booking value is $2,000, excluding Tailor-Made trips, Australia trips and 18-29s trips.
The $200 upfront commissions will be paid to the agency via direct deposit within three weeks of the booking date, and the agency will receive the remainder of their commission at the time of trip departure. The offer can only be applied to new bookings, including the use of future travel credits.
A deposit of $400 is required at the time of booking, while a deposit of $600 is required at the time of booking for adventure cruising voyages and Peregrine Adventures tours. A deposit of $1,000 is required at the time of booking for all polar voyages and trips that include gorilla permits.
We know this is a challenging time for the entire travel industry, particularly while there is still so much uncertainty around international border openings. We want to show our appreciation for our travel agent partners by offering partial commission upfront to help make this time a little bit easier,” said Megan Bailey, Sales Director in North America for Intrepid Travel.

Intrepid has extended its suspension period for global operations until at least Sept. 30, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In preparation for travel to resume, the company has introduced a new Flexible Bookings policy that permits changes to travel plans 21 days before a scheduled departure, allowing for new travel dates or an entirely different trip with no change fees.
