MEXICO CITY — Canada’s air space will welcome a new player this summer when Interjet introduces service between Montreal and Mexico City.
Based in Mexico City, Interjet will launch nonstop flights between Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and Mexico City’s Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez, as well as between Montreal and Cancun International Airport. Service will begin July 13.
“Our unique brand of lower fares with free checked bags using our Priority fare, more legroom between seats and great service has been embraced everywhere we fly,” said Joszee Luis Garza, Interjet’s CEO. “And Interjet is now in Canada to offer more choices and competition between the Canadian market and Mexico.”
Montreal services will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft with 150 seats. The initial schedule will include three frequencies per week – Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday for both Mexico City and Cancun – at convenient departure times.
