TORONTO — This is taking ‘safe sex’ to a whole new level.
Virtual reality (VR) headset maker AuraVisor has announced a new partnership with adult entertainment filmmaker VR Bangers to launch VR porn rentals at Las Vegas hotels. The service, dubbed the VR Bangers Hotel Experience, will sell for US$19.99, allowing guests to enjoy an intimate evening in – and alone – in the comfort of their hotel rooms.
Once paid, users will strap on the wireless AuraVisor and select their ‘partner’ for the evening. Scenes are filmed in a location that replicates the hotel room, something its creators say makes the experience much more realistic, reports Techspot.
According to Engadget, AuraVisor is a self-contained Android device featuring a 5-inch, 1080p display with a 100-degree field of view. Being wireless, users also won’t have to deal with pesky cables or wires.
VR Bangers and AuraVisor plan to trial the experience in as-yet-named Las Vegas hotels before a wider rollout. Launch date has yet to be determined.
