REYKJAVIK — Icelandair’s newly announced schedule for the winter 2023-2024 season includes an upgrade for Vancouver’s service to Reykjavik, from seasonal to year-round routes.
Four flights a week will be available out of Vancouver International Airport with Icelandair.
The 2023/34 season, effective October 2023, marks the most extensive winter schedule in Icelandair’s history, with capacity on network growing by up to 17% compared to 2019.
Icelandair’s Stopover Program allows travellers flying to Europe (destinations include London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Amsterdam, and more) to add a 1–7-day stopover in Iceland at no additional airfare.
In addition to Vancouver, Icelandair is also upgrading Rome, Barcelona, Raleigh Durham and Baltimore to year-round service as well.
Tomas Ingason, Chief Revenue Officer, Icelandair, said: “Due to strong customer demand, we are now introducing our most extensive winter schedule to date. We have been able to extend previously seasonal routes to year-round services and increase frequencies on other routes throughout the network for the winter 23/24 season. We are always looking for further opportunities to optimize our network and connectivity for customers, so we can make even more travel options available to our passengers.”
