Now open: TOOR Hotel in downtown Toronto

TORONTO — TOOR Hotel, part of JdV by Hyatt, has officially opened its doors in downtown Toronto.

Developed by Manga Hotel Group and first announced in spring 2024, the upscale property was envisioned by Canadian hotelier Sukhdev Toor, rising 33 storeys in Toronto’s Garden District. It offers 232 guest rooms and suites, alongside 181 premium residential rental units.

“TOOR Hotel is a contemporary take on modern hospitality—where striking design, unparalleled views, and convenient amenities come together to create a one-of-a-kind stay,” said Toor, President and CEO of Manga Hotel Group. “From the downtown Toronto positioning to our thoughtfully designed spaces and architecture, every detail has been thoughtfully considered. We are thrilled to open our doors and welcome travellers with the warmth of true Canadian hospitality.”

Design-Forward Guestrooms

Guestrooms and suites are designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, contemporary interiors and custom artwork, drawing inspiration from Toronto’s green spaces. Each room is equipped with modern amenities, including 55-inch televisions, Nespresso machines and Lutron smart lighting for personalized ambiance. Washrooms feature soothing colour palettes and artistic elements that enhance the overall atmosphere.

Muse Bistro + Bar: A Culinary Destination

The hotel’s signature restaurant, Muse Bistro + Bar, spans two levels and offers a versatile dining experience. The ground floor provides a casual setting for meetings, co-working and grab-and-go meals, while the second floor features a refined dining space and additional 1,000 square feet of meeting and event facilities. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails, an extensive wine selection and a contemporary menu designed to appeal to both visitors and locals.

Wellness and Fitness with a View

The hotel’s 1,500-square-foot fitness and yoga studio is located on the 14th floor, offering panoramic city views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Equipped with Peloton bikes, rowers and top-tier workout machines, the space also features an outdoor terrace for fresh-air workouts or relaxation.

This opening marks the first property under the TOOR Hotel brand, with a second location set to debut in Soho, New York City, later this year.
