FORT LAUDERDALE — Reservations are officially open for Playa Hotels & Resorts’ newest managed all-inclusive property, Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana, for stays starting April 1, 2025.
Formerly Jewel Punta Cana, the all-new property has been transformed through an extensive renovation to join the Wyndham Alltra brand, a collaboration with Playa Hotels & Resorts that aims to redefine the upper midscale all-inclusive experience.
The resort is nestled among the palm-fringed shores of Uvero Alto Beach. Geared to families and couples, with accommodation options including private swim-out pools, furnished balconies, and spacious family-sized suites, the 620-key Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana also has more than 20 food and beverage venues plus a new water park.
Fernando Mulet, Playa Hotels & Resorts’ Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, said: “The all-inclusive market in the Dominican Republic continues to thrive, and we are delighted to deepen our partnership with Wyndham in this vibrant region. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana marks our second third-party managed property under the Wyndham Alltra brand in the Dominican Republic. With its distinctive local concept and design, this hotel will deliver a truly unique experience for our guests, setting a new benchmark in Punta Cana and the Caribbean.”
This is Playa Hotels & Resorts’ second Wyndham Alltra property in the D.R. In April 2024 the Wyndham Alltra Samana opened its doors, with 404 rooms.
The two resorts further boost Wyndham’s growing all-inclusive portfolio, which now spans about 40 resorts worldwide. Wyndham Alltra was first launched at the end of 2021 and now includes destinations such as Cancun, Freeport, Bridgetown and Montego Bay. Properties include Wyndham Alltra Cancun, Viva Fortuna Beach by Wyndham, A Trademark All Inclusive and Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lords Castle.
ALL-INCLUSIVE EXPERIENCES FOR ALL
In keeping with the Wyndham Alltra branding, accommodation at the new Punta Cana property caters to families and couples alike. Couples may find the spacious suites with private swim-outs to their liking, while family-friendly spaces offer a respite for family relaxation and fun.
The resort has nine fully renovated food and beverage outlets, including fresh seafood at Costa Azul, Italian classics at the Santo Domingo Plaza-inspired Bella and Ventanas buffet. There’s also a coffee bar, sports bar, pan-Asian restaurant and more.
For relaxation, Aura Spa features 12 fully renovated treatment rooms, including three double and nine single rooms. For the kids, Camp Alltra has a playground and pool for kids 3-12, plus a brand-new water park is underway.
