MISSISSAUGA — TravelBrands has put out an open call to the travel community to help support an important cause: the SickKids Labatt Family Heart Centre.
On July 17, the travel company will donate 1% of all sales to the organization as part of an ongoing initiative to raise $1 million for the SickKids Foundation by September 2018. To date, TravelBrands has raised approximately $710,000.
“We are calling on the travel community to come together and support a very important cause,” said Frank DeMarinis, President and CEO, TravelBrands. “Our donations will have a direct effect in supporting SickKids’ goal of being the leading pediatric and congenital heart disease centre in the world. Ultimately, we just want to help kids live their lives to the fullest.”
Travel partners, suppliers and clients are encouraged to make their bookings through TravelBrands on July 17 to contribute to this worthwhile cause. To book go to travelbrandsaccess.com.
In addition to pledging a percentage of its sales, TravelBrands will host multiple events year-round to raise awareness and funds for SickKids. This includes the annual TravelBrands Charity Golf Classic, participation in the Mississauga Dragon Boat Race Festival and an annual 5-kilometre employee walk.
Travel agents can also donate their Loyalty Rewards points to the SickKids Foundation through travelbrandsaccess.com. Moreover, TravelBrands will match any Loyalty Rewards donation made between July 17 and Aug. 31, 2018.
