MONTREAL — There’s much to be excited about with Air Canada’s newly launched 2019/2020 Sun Collection, including 63 new hotels and two new Spotlight Collections that include bonus perks for travellers.

The Sun Collection features an incredibly range of products, including more than 750 hotels – mostly all-inclusive – 63 of which are new to the lineup, four resorts that are exclusive to ACV, 28 semi-exclusive resorts, and over 100 cruises.

Here’s what to expect for 2019/2020:

NEW ROUTES

This winter, ACV offers even more capacity with three additional new flights to its Sun destinations: Quebec City-Cancun on Saturdays, starting Dec. 21,2 019; Quebec City-Punta Cana on Sundays, starting Dec. 22, 2019; and Ottawa-Varadero nonstop on Mondays, starting Dec. 23, 2019. Plus, ACV has expanded its service with 24 new flights to the Sun.

SPOTLIGHTS

New this year is an enhanced Spotlight Collection featuring the U.S. Spotlight Collection and Cruise Spotlight Collection. Travellers receive such perks as free standard seat selection, $20 in-flight meal credit per passenger, as well as bonus hotel and resort offers at participating hotels and resorts in California, Hawaii and Las Vegas when booking a Flight + Hotel package by Oct. 31, 2020.

ACV’s Cruise Spotlight Collection with Carnival includes exclusive offers when booking select Carnival sailings, such as Special Canadian Resident Rates, two free category upgrades, US$50 onboard credit per stateroom, 50% reduced deposit, and free CareFree Travel Protection.

PLAY PROGRAM

With the 2019/2020 Sun Collection, ACV has expanded the Play Program to Florida, California and Hawaii. Families can select from over 140 hotels where kids aged 12 and under eat, play and stay for free. Plus, they’ll benefit from priority boarding for the entire family onboard Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flights.

U.S. SUN DESTINATIONS

The new Sun collection highlights alternative options in Florida, California, Hawaii and Las Vegas. From infinite beachscapes and golf courses, to theme parks, wildlife and city breaks, the United States will be hard to resist in 2019-2020.

EARLY BOOKING BONUS

Families who book their 2019/2020 winter vacation package to Mexico and the Caribbean by Sept. 2, 2019 will receive significant savings of up to $400 ($100 per adult, and $100 per child ages 2-12) on travel between Nov. 1, 2019 and April 30, 2020. Plus, clients can take advantage of a reduced deposit of $50 per person when booking their 2019/2020 winter holiday through a travel professional.

CAREFLEX & CAREFREE

Agents earn 15% commission when selling ACV’s trusted CareFree and new CareFlex plans. For $59, clients receive free seat selection, year-round Price Drop Guarantee, StormGuard and a $50 waiver on administration change fees, allowing them to change, transfer or even cancel their booking with refund before the departure date.

GROUPS

New this year, groups of 10 passengers pay only a $500 deposit, while 20+ passengers can be held with no deposit. Groups of 10 adults who book who book by Aug. 31, 2019 will save $1,500 for departures between Nov. 1, 2019 and April 30, 2020.

Plus, ACV is once again honouring the original contract price for any additional passengers if their group size increases by up to 20%.

Couples who tie the knot in paradise will receive a $500 flight credit per group for bookings made by Oct. 31, 2020. Newlyweds also enjoy additional perks like a complimentary site inspection, free seat selection, two free upgrades including access to the Maple Leaf lounge, and $500 future travel credit for their next vacation.

Other group perks include: fly and stay free; customized itinerary block seat selection on flights; Group Price Drop; Group Price Match; no deposit for 90 days; private transfers; dedicated group coordinators; and access to the Maple Leaf lounge with Business class or Premium Rouge.

CARIBBEAN CRUISES

With the new Sun Collection, ACV has introduced savings of $150 per couple when booking a Flight + Cruise package by Oct. 31, 2019. Back by popular demand, is the Costa Magica, which sets sail every Thursday from Fort de France on seven-night alternating cruise itineraries the visit Guadeloupe, Grenada, Tobago, Barbados, Tortola, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, Antigua and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

CRUISE PROMISE

Air Canada Vacations’ new Cruise Promise is this: If clients find a flight with Air Canada or Air Canada Rouge at a lower price, ACV will pay the entire cost of the flight for all passengers on the booking. This program features no deposit required on flights when Flight + Cruise are booked up to 30 days before departure. Plus, all flights are 100% refundable and one name change is permitted up to 30 days prior to travel.

ACV’s fifth annual Dream Makers product launch returns this fall. Travel agents are invited to join ACV on tour nationwide to celebrate the new Sun Brochure, 2019/2020 Collection.
