MIAMI — Groups can expect some ‘FUNomenal’ savings on cruises for the next two years, courtesy of Carnival Cruise Line.
As part of its new ‘FUNomenal Group Sail’ promotion, the cruise line has announced it will be reducing its initial deposit requirement by 50% for group bookings on select sailings departing between Aug. 15, 2017 and April 30, 2019.
Moreover, Carnival is offering travel agents one free cruise berth for every 10 full fare guests berthed, compared to the line’s current program of one free cruise berth for every 15 full fare guests berthed.
“Our business development team is always working with agents on building lucrative affinity group business and we created this promotion based on what our partners told us would be most helpful to them during this busy booking period,” said Carnival’s VP of Sales & Trade Marketing Adolfo Perez. “We are committed to providing the best sales and service in the industry to our partners and the key components of this promotion are an extension of that.”
Group fares applicable to this promotion, which are available between now and March 15, 2017, begin at US$229 for three- to five-day cruises, and $459 for voyages of six days or longer.
