TORONTO — Two teams, one winner and plenty of fun was had during a friendly cricket match between Goway and New Zealand.
The annual showdown, born from a friendly rivalry and tradition of partnership, was held recently at the Toronto Club, followed by a reception.
Air New Zealand’s North America Sales Team flew in from key offices around Canada and the United States. Over 100 Goway employees attended, bolstered by the company’s significant team growth.
But only one winner came out on top: Air New Zealand, which bested Goway with 152 runs versus 103 runs, and four wickets versus nine wickets.
Air New Zealand Account Executive Mason Spencer was named MVP, while Meg Smith, Goway Reservations Supervisor was named the prize winner of two Air New Zealand tickets.
As usual, the annual event was spearheaded by Anthony Saba, Goway’s VP South Pacific, who said: “Goway is so grateful for our partnership with Air New Zealand and their continued support in this event. Long-time team members look forward to it, and our new growing teams are excited to be part of the tradition.
Spencer added: “It was a great day and the Air New Zealand team loved it – even those new to cricket.”
