TORONTO — Goway Travel is offering Australis’ 5-day Round the Horn Patagonia Cruise, giving clients the chance to sail aboard the new Ventus Australis.
Travelling south into Patagonia, the cruise gives passengers the option to round Cape Horn and land there, weather permitting. The 5-day cruise can be done from Punta Arenas or Ushuaia.
Along with the Stella Australis, the newly built Ventus Australis is a 4-star ship sailing the waters of Patagonia in Chile and Argentina.
The Ventus Australis is tailor-made for exploring the remote southern tip of South America, says Goway. All aspects of the 210-passenger ship including size, length, draft and engine power are designed to give the ship the extreme maneuverability necessary to navigate narrow fjords and channels where no other cruise ships can venture.
In between stops passengers can “wine and dine, mix and mingle, and enjoy fabulous entertainment”, says Goway. Passengers can even stay fit on their Patagonia cruise as the ship contains a gym.
The Round the Horn Patagonia Cruise from Ushuaia route is a 4-night cruise departing Ushuaia, the world’s southern-most city in Argentina. It stops at Cape Horn and Wulaia Bay, where Charles Darwin spent two years and where scientific exploration is on-going today. The ship also visits the Pia Glacier, the Garibaldi Glacier and Magdalena Island before arriving in Punta Arenas, Chile.
Expedition cruises being Jan. 2, 2018 in remote Patagonia and are now available for booking with Goway Travel. “Make the most of a journey to Patagonia and take advantage of a 30% reduction on selected departures for the upcoming season,” says Goway. Visit Goway.com or call 1-800-387-8850.
