VANCOUVER — One Ocean Expeditions’ new ‘Fiddles & Sticks’ golf expedition cruise combines cruising along Canada’s East Coast with golf at five of the region’s best courses.
The trip is scheduled for July 27 – Aug. 4, 2018. “The reason we expanded our cruise product on Canada’s East Coast is simple. In Nova Scotia, golfers can experience three spectacular links courses. The 36-holes layout of the Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs is rated in the top 20 links courses in the world. Highlands Links in Ingonish is a “must play” course with its dramatically diverse topography running from a rocky cliff to the mountains of Cape Breton and back.
Club de Golf des Isles in L’Etan du Nord on the picturesque Isle de-la-Madeleine, off the coast of PEI and Nova Scotia but still part of Quebec, is “stunning”, says One Ocean Expeditions. There’s also Crowbush course in the village of Morelle on PEI, a 5-star championship design course.
While the trip is a cruise, sailing onboard the 98-passenger purpose-built scientific research vessel One Ocean Navigator, One Ocean Expeditions says the itinerary offers as many activities off the vessel as on it, making it a good fit for the active cruise traveller. “Every day, guests can join guided excursions ranging from sea kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, cycling and hiking to wildlife viewing onboard zodiacs.
