Goat yoga actually exists – and it is glorious

ALBANY, OR — We’ve all heard of Downward Dog – but Downward Goat?

A free-spirited woman in Albany, Oregon has come up with a revolutionary – and adorable – new way to practice traditional yoga – with a goat.

Yes, you read correctly.

Lainey Morse’s goat yoga classes have become so popular, says CNN, that there’s currently a 1,200-person waiting list – and it’s growing each day. Morse teaches classes at her Oregon farm – No Regrets – where eight of her goats have open access to yogis. Participants are encouraged to snuggle, pet and generally ‘be one’ with the animals, some even going so far as to let the goats walk all over them.

According to Morse, people are coming from states away, all for the chance to lift their spirits.

“It may sound silly, but goat yoga is really helping people,” she told CNN. “People come in that have anxiety, depression, they’re recovering from cancer or illness. It’s not curing diseases, but it’s helping people cope with whatever they’re going through.”

And for people who just love animals, plain and simple, goat yoga has just been added to their bucket lists. Where do we sign up?
