TORONTO — The German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in Canada is closing at the end of 2024 due to budget cuts affecting the German National Tourist Board’s (GNTB) operations in 2025.
GNTO Director Anja Brokjans shared the sad announcement on Friday afternoon.
“This difficult decision involves the closure of six offices worldwide, including ours here in Canada,” said Brokjans.
She added: “I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you. Your support and collaboration have been truly invaluable in helping us share the magic of Germany with Canadian travellers. We couldn’t have achieved what we did without you, and we’re so grateful for everything we’ve accomplished together.
“Once again, thank you for being such a wonderful partner. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you.”
