TORONTO — G Adventures has launched its biggest ‘Cyber Sale’ of the year, offering up to 30% off on more than 400 tours departing before October 31, 2022.

Often the traditional retail travel distribution channel is edged out of cyber sales and other online promotions. That’s not the case with G Adventures.

As G Adventures spokesperson Casey Mead tells Travelweek: “All deals are available to agents and can be booked through our Sherpa booking system.”

Last month the company marked its 1,000th tour since September 2020. “The local communities we support could not be more excited to welcome our travellers back,” says David Green, managing director for G Adventures in Canada. “So people booking a G Adventures trip can also feel safe in the knowledge that they are helping support local people in countries devastated by the lack of tourism as travel returns following the pandemic.”

G Adventures’ Cyber Sale launched today, Nov. 10, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. EST and runs through to Dec. 3, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

The sale, an annual event for G Adventures, applies to 400+ itineraries across the company’s selection of 18-to-Thirtysomethings, Active, Classic, Family, Local Living and Marine travel styles.

The up to 30% discount applies to tours that are on sale and depart before March 31, 2022. Departures before Oct. 31, 2022 offer savings of up to 20% off the original price.

The conditions are just right for booking travel in late-2021 and into 2022, says Green. He cites data from G Adventures most recent consumer research panel showing that while 59% of respondents plan to take an international holiday by mid-2022, only 37% are booked yet. “So there’s still a lot of pent-up demand that is yet to be realized. With the recent lifting of the non-essential travel advisory in Canada, now is the perfect time for people to book their long-awaited trip.”

Green adds: “This year’s Cyber Sale has some of the biggest discounts we’ve ever offered, giving travellers the added incentive they need to secure their international holiday.
