TORONTO — A high-energy performance of ‘SIX’ made for an intimate night of music, glitz and agent camaraderie hosted by G Adventures for 10 lucky agents from the Toronto and GTA area.
On hand to experience the agent appreciation event were Michelle Gaudet, Nexion; Alison McGeorge, TTAND; Anita Djordjevic, All Seasons Travel (TravelSavers); Tricia Madill, Pure Magic Vacations (TL Network); Susan Tuckey, TTAND; Colette Larson, Clarke-Way Travel (TL Network); Susan Williams, TTAND; Jennifer McPherson, Travel Only; Cynthia Davidson, TTAND; and Karen Grant TTAND.
From Tudor queens to pop icons, the story of SIX is based on the wives of Henry VIII – previously sidelined women who take back the power in their stories and celebrate 21st-century girl power.
Before the show at Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre, an agent appreciation event billed as ‘A random act of G’, agents gathered for an informative ‘G is for Groups’ catch-up session at G’s Base Camp to learn about the ‘Six Reasons to Love Groups’. The session was co-led by David Green, VP of Sales and Customer Operations & Managing Director, Canada and Kat Edgeley, Private Travel Manager.
The face-to-face opportunity gave agents a chance to exchange feedback and insights, and they were privy to some exciting news (and now sworn to secrecy) that G Adventures will officially share later this month during its G Adventures & Friends event on February 21.
“Thanks to you for the business and support that you give us. I am very excited about private groups, and when I first joined Canada, this was the one area of business that I felt was almost like a hidden secret,” said Green.
“Not everyone knows exactly what we can or can’t do, so we need to get better and tell our story,” added Green.
Based on the agents’ reactions and comments, it’s clear that there’s a lot of excitement brewing. Agents have every reason to be thrilled.
“There is nothing like an in-person event. I am inspired by many ideas buzzing around my head. I was excited to be invited and honored to be in this group. Having sold G since its GAP days, I travelled with them on my first solo female adventure to Peru,” said Susan Williams of TTAND, Toronto.
And following the musical, “How amazing to invite strong, very well-travelled, brave business leaders – all women! The musical SIX is a play that celebrates and lifts women. This is just so G,” added Williams.
CHANGE MAKERS RETURNS
Coinciding with the agent appreciation event was the announcement that the G Adventures Change Makers agent reward program is back for 2024. Agents booking G Adventures Feb. 1 – May 31, 2024 have a chance to earn a place at the 2024 Change Makers GX Summit.
The event will be held in an undisclosed destination, and 15 Canadian agents will be among the 75 winners from around the world.
The campaign focuses on changing people’s lives through travel by booking G Adventures trips. Those who qualify for the summit will see how their work directly impacts communities in G Adventures destinations.
The Change Makers reward program is part of G Adventures’ community initiatives, which include G-Normous and You Belong with G Experience. These programs are designed to support agents in changing lives by booking G Adventures’ small group trips worldwide.
“We are 100 percent committed to our agency partners and are their biggest champions. We now have three incredible marketing campaigns to encourage our agency community to change more lives through travel. 2024 is off to a rocking start,” shared Green.
