JACKSON HOLE — A new partnership between Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole and locally-based Gallery Wild has resulted in an enticing hotel amenity: Wild by Four Seasons, an art gallery featuring local, regional and national artists.
Tapping into the region’s growing reputation as the “Art Center of the Rockies”, the five-star hotel is broadening its amenities as it celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2023.
Featuring 50 pieces of art for sale by 20 artists, future programming will include bespoke art presentations and expert-led presentations to further immerse Four Seasons guests into the world of contemporary western art. The hotel will also be offering an Art Walk every Wednesday, accompanied by a local gallery owner or artist.
Included in the initial exhibition are works by Gallery Wild co-owner Carrie Wild; Patricia Griffin, a painter/photographer whose animal paintings on linen are inspired by the Greater Yellowstone Basin wilderness; Salt Lake City-based Nealy Riley, who uses gold or metal leafing in her contemporary wildlife works; and regional artist Amber Blazina, whose signature bison and wolves paintings are displayed in the hotel’s Ascent Lounge.
“Jackson Hole is known for its dynamic art community and is well-established among the top art destinations in the United States,” said general manager Ryan Grande. “We are thrilled to partner with one of Jackson Hole’s most prestigious western art galleries.”
As the only ski-in/ski-out resort in Teton Village and the first Four Seasons Resort ski destination, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole – located at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort – has been a lodestone for year-round adventurers since its opening in 2003. The boutique hotel tempts visitors year-round with stunning natural surroundings and consummate hospitality.
“It doesn’t matter what time of year you come, you’re going to have a unique personal experience,” said Adriana Negron, Marketing and Event Coordinator, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole.
“With our two-to-five-bedroom residences, it gives guests the opportunity to come as a family and stay together or we have connecting rooms, with smaller suites connecting to larger suites to create a three bedroom,” added Negron, who noted that personalization is integral to how the hotel serves guests.
The nine-storey Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole features 155 rooms, including 18 suites and 31 residences, decorated in contemporary mountain-style with wood, stone and leather elements, numerous fireplaces and Native American décor, motif and art. Guests can enjoy three dining options on site, vverseen by Executive Chef Michael Goralski: The Handle Bar pub and beer hall, Westbank Grill steakhouse and Ascent Lounge with a pan-Asian menu.
“It’s a family destination. It’s a great place to have a wedding, honeymoon, anniversary or birthday. There’s so much to do in our backyard, from skiing to paragliding, sleigh rides to horse carriage rides,” said Negron.
More adventurous guests can also sign up for an excursion to the American Serengeti, a North Yellowstone Wildlife Adventure. This distinctive wildlife safari led by expert naturalists includes a private flight (for up to seven guests) to North Yellowstone Park where guests can view incredible wildlife like moose, bear, mountain lions, elk, bisons, bighorn sheep, deer, wolves, foxes and many more species.
Additional hotel activities for solo, duo or multigenerational travellers (depending on the season) include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, mountain biking, fly fishing, white water rafting, hot air balloon, exploring rivers and lakes by canoe, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and a day with the wolves. New this year is Via Ferrata, an unforgettable climbing experience through alpine terrain above the Jackson Valley, suited for those aged 10+. Other offerings include complimentary fitness classes at the 12,000-square-foot spa, and a Mountain Whiskey ceremony with pairings.
