LONDON — Thick fog covered the runways at Gatwick Airport early Thursday morning, resulting in a slew of flight delays. Although the fog has since lifted, the busy airport – along with other airports in the London area – are still dealing with a backlog of flights.
British Airways has confirmed that flights were being delayed due to adverse weather conditions and advised passengers to check their website for the most up to date information.
Website Flightracker.com notes that 128 flights are delayed at Gatwick and 111 at Heathrow, while Stansted seems to be operating normally.
Gatwick Airport is also suggesting delays will continue, despite the fog having lifted.
