MONACO — Silversea Cruises’ Silver Nova, set to debut in summer 2023, will offer no fewer than 13 categories of suite accommodation, including seven brand new suite categories.

All in all Silver Nova will offer 364 suites, among the most spacious at sea, ranging in size from 33 sq. m. (357 sq. ft.) to 123 sq. m. (1324 sq. ft.). All of the ship’s suites also benefit from large balconies, ranging from 5 sq. m. to 40 sq. m., with 270-degree ocean and land views in the new Otium Suite.

Silver Nova is the first ship in Silversea’s Nova class and will feature an entirely new design approach, giving rise to the new generation of suites, says Silversea’s Chief Commercial Officer, Barbara Muckermann.

“Marking a new era in ultra-luxury cruise travel, the Silver Nova suite experience represents an evolution of Silversea’s industry-leading offering. With her asymmetrical configuration and horizontal layout, Silver Nova will offer guests a new generation of spacious suites that are unseen in Silversea’s fleet. Not only will Silver Nova surpass our guests’ expectations in terms of comfort, but she will be one of the most environmentally conscious cruise ships ever built, paving the way for the future of ultra-luxury, sustainable cruising,” says Muckermann.

Silver Nova’s horizontal layout means suites run the entire length of the ship on four decks, she adds. It’s a first for the cruise line.

THE SIGNATURE SUITE

The Signature Suite features one of the largest balconies onboard the ship: 16 sq. m. or 172 sq. ft. The cruise line says The Signature Suite “offers an immersive destination experience with sweeping views from all interior spaces,” including a dining, living and sleeping area and a luxurious bathroom. Total size: 65 sq. m. or 700 sq. ft.

THE OTIUM SUITE

Inspired by Silversea’s new wellness program, Otium, the Otium Suite “offers the most spacious interiors aboard Silver Nova for the ultimate suite experience at sea,” says the cruise line. Located in the premium aft corner position, the Otium Suite has floor-to-ceiling windows in all living areas, for 270-degree views from the inside. The balcony is the most spacious onboard, at 40 sq. m. or 431 sq. ft., and features a private whirlpool. Total size: 123 sq. m. or 1324 sq. ft.

Guests in all suites aboard Silver Nova will enjoy enhancements from Silversea’s new Otium wellness program, introduced in 2021 on Silver Dawn. There’s also S.A.L.T., an immersive culinary concept that debuted on Silver Moon.

All Silver Nova suites also feature butler service, complimentary in-suite dining around the clock, a minibar stocked with guests’ preferences, plush bathrobes and slippers, a pillow menu, luxury bath amenities, and complimentary unlimited WiFi.

Pre-sale bookings for Silver Nova opened in December 2021.

Silver Nova’s inaugural season starts July 15, 2023 with sailings ranging from seven to 23 days. The ship’s 10-day maiden voyage from Southampton to Lisbon will include calls in Saint Malo and three days in Bordeaux. During its inaugural season, the ship is scheduled to offer a total of 21 journeys in the Mediterranean and a grand voyage to South America to kick off 2024, as well as a transoceanic crossing.

Upon launch, Silver Nova will be the first low-emissions luxury cruise ship with advanced hybrid technology featuring fuel cells, paving the way for the future of sustainable luxury cruising.
