NEW YORK — First in Service Travel LTD (F1S) has officially laid out its expansion plans in key markets that include three Canadian cities.

The New York-based travel agency, a top Virtuoso member and also one of North America’s largest independent travel agencies, is laying down roots in three primary markets: Toronto, where it first branched out into Canada in 2019; New York City, where it is headquartered and opening this summer; and Miami, also opening this summer as a gateway to Latin America.

In addition, F1S will be expanding its virtual operations in other markets, including Vancouver, Montreal and Mexico City, to provide increased support for its travel advisors located in or near each city.

“As we further sharpen our ability to continually exceed our illustrious clientele’s travel expectations, we are redoubling our support for our travel advisors who provide each traveller with our signature service,” said Fernando Gonzalez, CEO of First in Service. “Our essential way to achieve that is to ensure those in New York, Toronto and Miami have offices they can be proud to call their professional home and that are consistent with the white glove service their clients expect and deserve. Equally important is continually fortifying our already powerful sense of community among our advisors.”

Gonzalez first confirmed the company’s Canada expansion in a March 2022 interview, following the official opening of the Toronto office. Located in the Yorkville neighbourhood and spanning 3,500 square feet, the Toronto hub first opened with just six travel advisors and has since grown to a team of 40.

On the new Toronto office, Willa Griffin, who leads Canada operations, said: “Our office is our business card, so we have designed a space that reflects who we are: creative, playful, edgy, welcoming and travel obsessed. Considering the three key travel sectors we serve – luxury/premium leisure, corporate and entertainment travel – trendy Yorkville is the perfect fit for First in Service Canada.”

The New York City headquarters, which sits on a prestigious stretch of Madison Avenue, will officially open on July 1, 2023. Spanning more than 5,000 square feet, it will feature ample space for advisor meetings and travel events with key supplier partners. 

Also opening on July 1 is the Miami office, located in the trendy Coconut Grove neighbourhood. Spanning 1,800 square feet, the new office will be led by J.D. Perez.

“Thanks to First in Service’s distinguished history of serving Latin America – first with our offices in Bogotá, Colombia, and now through a new virtual presence in Mexico City – Miami will serve as our strategic gateway to the region,” said Perez.
