TORONTO — Call him the Robin Hood of First Class, but you’ll have to catch him in person if you want to reap the rewards.
Gilbert Ott, who runs the blog God Save The Points, is offering travellers the incredible chance to fly first class at no extra charge. The challenge is called ‘Catch Me If You Can’ and the rules are simple: find him at an airport and he’ll happily give up his business or first class seat for you.
As per his blog, he writes: “You may need a little bit of luck, but if you find me in an airport: check in counter, security lane, terminal, lounge or even boarding gate, I’ll switch seats with you, provided we’re on the same flight.
“Yep, I’m flying to all these places in business or first class this year, and you can get upgraded – just for following this page. All you have to do is say ‘Gilbert, GodSaveThePoints. I want your seat’, or something like that.”
Airlines are joining in on the fun, too, with British Airways offering to collaborate with the blogger on a prize.
