CARIBOU, N.S. – Northumberland Ferries says the ferry running between Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia will begin its season Friday.
The service between Woods Islands, P.E.I., and Caribou, N.S., was supposed to resume on May 1, but it was delayed because of ice conditions.
The first sail of the season will leave P.E.I. at 6:30 a.m.
Ice in the waters off P.E.I. also delayed start of the province’s spring lobster fishery.
