OTTAWA — The Canadian government has updated its travel advisory for India.

“In the context of recent developments in Canada and in India, there are calls for protests and some negative sentiment towards Canada on social media,” reads the update, found on the India page at travel.gc.ca. “Please remain vigilant and exercise caution.”

As reported earlier, in the wake of the growing rift between the governments of India and Canada, India last week announced it was suspending all visa services for Canadian citizens.
