TORONTO — Travel industry professionals were treated to some much needed retail therapy during yesterday’s Explore Kissimmee virtual event, launched in collaboration with The Mall at Millenia.
The Orlando-based shopping mall, which launched a personalized shopping service six months ago, the only one of its kind in Florida, invited personal stylist Marianne Ilunga to provide useful tips on how to transfer looks from “daytime casual to nighttime fabulous.” Ilunga showcased several must-have items and new styles, including “transition” pieces from day to night that allow for lighter packing when travelling for work-related events.
Participants tuned in from key global markets including Canada, the U.K. and Brazil. Travelweek’s Annie Cicvaric, who was also on the call, said the one-hour shopping session was a “fun and unique” idea.
“I really enjoyed learning a few tips on some back-to-work essentials to keep in my closet as we transition out of our comfy clothes,” she said. “I can see why the service has been so successful for The Mall at Millenia – it’s informative and fun at the same time!”
According to Experience Kissimmee, travel agents can make appointments for their clients, plus work with its Tourism Marketing Director, Sally March, to create added value e-vouchers with their agency logos.
