TORONTO — It’s a new year, new look for Experience Kissimmee, which recently revealed a new logo and brand positioning statement at an industry event in Orlando.
Held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista South, the event was hosted by the Experience Kissimmee executive team who unveiled the organization’s ‘We Make Vacations’ initiative. According to President and CEO DT Minich, the message encompasses Kissimmee’s most enduring and essential attributes.
“A lot has changed since the opening of Disney in 1971. We’ve grown from a handful of small hotels and roadside attractions into a global gateway with one-of-a-kind adventures. And through it all, our focus has remained the same –vacations. It’s what we’re made for,” he said.
Minich also noted that following travel research in 2016, it became clear to the organization that it needed to “change the way we position Kissimmee in the global travel landscape.”
Along with the new statement, Experience Kissimmee has introduced a new logo. While maintaining the script of the original brand, the new logo takes a more modern approach with vibrant colours to complement the man-made and natural treasures found in Kissimmee.
Also unveiled at the event was Experience Kissimmee’s 2017 Destination Magazine featuring the new brand messaging. This year, 300,000 copies will be sent to travellers who request information, and will be distributed at VISIT FLORIDA Official Welcome Centres, at tradeshows and conferences and at key locations throughout the Kissimmee area.
