LONDON — Expedia’s new partnership with rail content provider SilverRail Technologies will expand its rail product in Europe and North America.

SilverRail’s global rail ticketing platform gives access to multiple rail companies through a standard interface. “We know rail is a highly sought-after form of transportation, especially across Europe and Asia, and we want to ensure our customers have a full variety of travel choices when they visit our sites,” says Greg Shulze, SVP Global Tour and Transport at the Expedia Group.

Development has already begun, with the platform launch expected in 2016.
