EVA Air adds two flights out of Toronto, increases Vancouver to daily starting in June

TORONTO — EVA Air is adding two additional flights per week to its Toronto-Taipei route and introducing new daily service out of Vancouver starting June 16.

At a Toronto breakfast seminar this week the airline said its new Toronto flights will operate Thursdays and Saturdays while the new Vancouver flights will be on Wednesdays and Fridays.

“Last year there were over 100,000 Canadians visiting Taiwan. That’s an increase of 17% from the previous year,” said Catherine Y.M. Hsu, director general at Taipei economic and cultural office, Toronto. “There were 93,000 Taiwanese people coming to visit Canada and that is an even greater percentage, with a 31% increase from 2015.”

Eva Air is also continuing the Combo Promotion until March 31. Toronto/Vancouver departure roundtrip tickets are sold together at one price – around 50% of its original price, with a combination of two tickets to the same destination, outbound and travelling in same season. Various connections include Bangkok, HCMC-Saigon, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Denpasar-Bali and Kuala Lumper. This offer is available for all cabins, with both tickets seats in the same cabin class – subject to availability of each flights. The promotion can only be authorized by Eva Air contract agencies in Canada.

Provided by Taiwan Tourism, passengers can now take advantage of layovers with the free half-day tour specifically designed for visitors in transit. There are two tours available, one in the morning and one in the evening, with both visiting different locations throughout Taipei. Seats can be reserved 30 days prior to the tour or on-site. Pick up and drop off are available at both terminal one and terminal two, with luggage storage at the airport. According to EVA Air, passengers are choosing longer layovers to have the opportunity to visit Taipei. Clients can find more information about the tour at eng.taiwan.net.tw/tour/index.htm.

Between Toronto and Vancouver, EVA Air will service a total of 14 flights for Canadian travellers. Once in Taipei, travellers can connect with 132 flights throughout Southeast Asia and 155 to Northeast Asia. EVA and affiliate UNI Air operate an additional 111 weekly flights to 25 destinations to Mainland China, Guam, Korea and throughout Japan. For more information visit evaair.com.
