TORONTO — Don McPhail, Enterprise Holdings’ Assistant Vice President of Strategic Accounts for Canada, is set to retire after nearly 20 years of dedicated service.
According to an official statement from Steven Tudela, Senior Vice President, Canadian Operations, McPhail’s last day will be Nov. 28.
He first joined the National brand in 1999 as Director of Sales for the west of Canada, and was then promoted in 2004 to Vice President of Sales for Canada, based in Toronto. In this role, he led a team that was responsible for corporate and travel industry partnerships for both National and Alamo.
In 2007, following the acquisition of National and Alamo, McPhail stepped into his current role where he has been instrumental in leading the integration and development efforts for all three brands within Enterprise’s corporate and travel agency businesses.
Tudela praised McPhail for his “calm demeanour, level-headed approach and industry relationships”, all of which have helped define his successful career.
“We want to congratulate Don on his upcoming retirement and thank him for his outstanding leadership and dedication to the company,” said Tudela. “We wish him and his wife Joni nothing but the best in their future.”
