MONTREAL — Air Canada Vacations has launched a new promotion that allows travel agents to earn seats on group bookings.
For a limited time, agents can earn one air seat for every 30 passengers booked made via the new ‘Book Your Own Group’ program.
Plus, until March 31, 2023, the promotion offers every passenger booked the CareFree travel protection plan for free.
“We continue to work to find ways to support our travel agent partners looking to book group packages,” said Nino Montagnese, Vice President at Air Canada Vacations. “Our goal with this promotion is to create added value for agents and travellers alike while offering the ease of use of our self-serve platform.”
THE PROMOTION
For every 30 passengers booked via ‘Book Your Own Group,’ travel agents will earn one free air seat, to a maximum of four air seats per agent. Air Canada Vacations will track all qualifying files for travel between May 1 and Dec. 18. 2023 to Mexico, the Caribbean, California, Florida, Hawaii or Las Vegas. Full details can be found here.
In addition, the CareFree plan, which will be included for free for all clients booked with the Book Your Own Group program, will benefit from standard seat selection and Price Drop Guarantee.
THE PROGRAM
The Book Your Own Group program features a bonus 2% commission applicable when combining multiple individual bookings made online or via any GDS systems to Mexico, the Caribbean, California, Florida, Hawaii or Las Vegas to make a group of 10 or more.
The promotion is valid on bookings of 10 adults or more for travel on the same departure date, and to the same hotel. All bookings for passengers travelling together as a ‘Book Your Own Group’ must be made within 48 hours to qualify. All bookings need to be emailed to byog2vacv@vacv.com in order to receive the bonus commission.
Plus, travel agents can take advantage of adding CareFlex to their files. For $69 (Canada and the U.S.) and $99 (Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America and Europe) per person, the CareFlex travel protection plan allows travellers to transfer their package, change their departure date, destination or hotel, and cancel with a full refund up to 21 days prior to departure, or cancel with an in-house credit up to three days prior to departure.
