TORONTO — It’s definitely #timetotravel, certainly within Canada now and beyond our borders in the near future, say Direct Travel’s Brian Robertson, President, Canada West and Ian Race, Senior Vice-President, Corporate Sales, just back from their first flights in months.

In this video, Robertson and Race tell Travelweek about their recent flight and airport experiences, as well as about what they’re hearing from Direct Travel advisors, and clients, about travelling in this new normal.

Robertson and Race were both on the road – and in the air, on flights with Air Canada and WestJet – to Calgary and Vancouver last week, plus stops in Edmonton and Ottawa for Robertson.

One highlight of their time in Calgary was Direct Travel’s giving back initiative to healthcare workers at one of the city’s hospitals, the Peter Lougheed Centre.

Robertson is among the 120+ travel industry executives on the Canadian Travel & Tourism Roundtable, which in recent weeks sent an open letter to the federal government and provincial premiers saying it’s #timetotravel.
