TORONTO — The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) reinforced its presence in the Canadian market this week, engaging with travel trade professionals and media in Toronto and Montreal.
Chief Marketing Officer Kimberly King and Marketing Officer Sharon Lowe provided industry partners with key updates on Anguilla’s thriving tourism sector and upcoming developments for 2025 and beyond.
During the presentations, King highlighted Anguilla’s ongoing airport redevelopment project, which includes a new passenger terminal set to open this fall and a planned runway extension by 2026-27. “Developing and strengthening relationships with airline partners ahead of these enhancements is essential,” said King. “By collaborating on co-op marketing initiatives, we can support and sustain the anticipated growth in passenger demand.”
Anguilla’s “Exclusively Yours” campaign was a major success in 2024, leading to a 25.2% increase in stayover arrivals compared to the previous year. The island also recorded its highest June and July visitor numbers in the past 30 years, with July 2024 seeing a 20.3% year-over-year increase.
Luxury accommodations on the island are also evolving, with Four Seasons and Belmond Cap Juluca introducing new restaurants and lounges in late 2025. Cap Juluca’s recent five-star rating from the 2025 Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards places it among the island’s top properties, alongside Four Seasons (5-star), Aurora Anguilla (4-star), QHotel (4-star), and Zemi (highly recommended).
To further support travel advisors, the ATB is developing a Travel Advisor Program designed to enhance agent knowledge and collaboration. More details will be announced soon.
Anguilla’s 2025 event calendar is shaping up to be a standout, featuring the return of marquee festivals such as the Summer Festival, Festival Del Mar, the Anguilla Culinary Experience (ACE) and last weekend’s Moonsplash Musical Festival. Additionally, the island is expanding its Volun-Tourism initiatives, allowing visitors to engage in meaningful community-driven experiences while supporting Anguilla’s commitment to sustainability.
