ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines will boost its transatlantic route portfolio with two new routes from its Midwest hubs next summer.
The airline will operate daily flights from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Rome, as well as six weekly flights from Detroit to Munich beginning May 26, 2016. The service will be operated in conjunction with Delta’s joint venture partners Air France, KLM and Alitalia.
Detroit-Munich will be Delta’s second daily flight between the U.S. and Munich as well as the second daily flight between the Motor City and Germany. Delta serves four destinations in Germany – Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart. The flight will be operated using Boeing 767-400ER aircraft.
