LA ROMANA — Costa Cruises has announced that Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, will serve as a new embarkation option for Costa Fascinosa’s Caribbean itineraries during the 2025-26 season.
The addition provides greater accessibility for North and South American travellers, offering more flexibility for those looking to explore the Caribbean with Costa.

Costa Fascinosa
The announcement was marked by a special event aboard Costa Fascinosa while docked in La Romana, Dominican Republic, on Feb. 23, 2025. The gathering was hosted by Dario Rustico, general manager of North and South America for Costa Cruises, and Fernando Joselevich, country manager for Argentina and Latin America. Notable attendees included Ambassador of Italy Stefano Queirolo Palmas, Commercial Director of the Port of Cruises and Airport of La Romana Andres Fernandez, Executive Director of Sansouci Port Rudy Pimentel, Maritime Segment Director of the Ministry of Tourism Ana Vilchez, and key partners from across Latin America.
“We are excited to introduce the beautiful port of Santo Domingo as an embarkation option in the Caribbean with Costa Fascinosa, providing a new and memorable experience for our guests,” said Rustico. “This expansion allows greater flexibility for travellers who now have more Caribbean options than ever.”
Expanded Itineraries with More Choices
From December 2025 through March 2026, Costa Fascinosa will offer eight-day roundtrip Caribbean itineraries departing from Santo Domingo. Ports of call include Barbados, Tortola, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe, and Martinique. Many sailings will also feature a stop at Costa’s private island, Catalina Island.
The inclusion of Santo Domingo enhances accessibility for Costa guests, complementing existing embarkation points in La Romana, Guadeloupe, and Martinique. Each departure port offers its own distinct appeal—Santo Domingo’s colonial history, La Romana’s pristine beaches, Guadeloupe’s lush landscapes, and Martinique’s stunning coastal scenery.
Costa Pacifica Expands Caribbean Options
In addition to Costa Fascinosa, Costa Pacifica will also sail in the Caribbean from December 2025 through March 2026. Offering roundtrip embarkation from La Romana and Guadeloupe, Costa Pacifica’s itineraries range from eight to 16 days, featuring stops in the Dominican Republic, British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Costa’s tropical itineraries also introduce new “Sea Destinations,” enhancing the onboard experience with immersive moments that bring the journey to life. Additionally, “Land Destinations” offer curated shore excursions led by expert guides, showcasing the culture and flavours of each locale.
