SYDNEY — Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled a sneak peek of Carnival Splendor’s new livery, which was completed during a dry dock in Singapore.
The ship now features the red, white and blue hull design introduced by Carnival in 2021. In addition, both sides of the ship also feature a distinctive Southern Cross design, a signature marking from the P&O Cruise Australia ships that will soon be joining the Carnival fleet.
Carnival announced in June that it will transition the P&O Cruise Australia operations into the Carnival Cruise Line brand next year. As part of the changeover, Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter will be renamed Carnival Adventure and Carnival Explorer when they join the Carnival fleet in March 2025.
Plans are underway for technology upgrades and other systems investments as Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter prepare to join the Carnival fleet. In anticipation of the changeover, Carnival has been communicating with and offering positions to thousands of P&O Cruises Australia crew members.
Along with the new livery, Carnival Splendor will return to service with a number of exciting upgrades, which will be revealed upon its return to Sydney on Sept. 9.
