“Egypt has always held a special place in the hearts of travellers, and we’re thrilled to make experiencing its ancient wonders even more accessible,” said Kristin Karst, co-founder and chief brand ambassador at AmaWaterways. “I just returned from a cruise on AmaLilia, and I was truly amazed by our incredible crew, the overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests and the mesmerizing experience of exploring Egypt in such an intimate setting. With complimentary roundtrip airfare and two beautiful ships now sailing the Nile, there’s no better time to experience the magic of Egypt with AmaWaterways.”
AmaWaterways offers an intimate and luxurious experience on the Nile aboard its two ships, AmaLilia and AmaDahlia. Designed for comfort and elegance, both vessels feature locally inspired décor, gourmet cuisine and high-end amenities, including sun deck bars, swimming pools, fitness rooms and spa services. The 41-stateroom AmaLilia boasts 13 spacious suites with panoramic river views, while the AmaDahlia offers 36 staterooms, including 16 suites ranging from 370 to 430 square feet.
Both ships sail the 11-night ‘Secrets of Egypt & the Nile’ itinerary, combining a seven-night roundtrip river cruise from Luxor with a luxury hotel stay in Cairo – three nights before the cruise and one night after. Guests sailing aboard AmaLilia stay at the St. Regis Cairo, while AmaDahlia guests enjoy accommodations at The Ritz-Carlton Cairo. The package includes intra-Egypt flights between Cairo and Luxor for a seamless journey to iconic landmarks such as the Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza.
Daily guided excursions, led by expert Egyptologists, take guests to legendary sites like the Temple of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, as well as the highly anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum, which houses thousands of previously unseen artefacts. Travellers will have access to 12 rooms of the collection until July 3, 2025, when the museum is set to fully open as the world’s largest archaeological museum. AmaLilia and AmaDahlia operate this itinerary seasonally from September through June.
