TORONTO — Sweet savings are in store for solo travellers this year, thanks to a new Cosmos promotion that shaves off $200 the usual single supplement on tours to Britain and Ireland.

The offer applies to a choice of seven different itineraries ranging from nine to 24 days throughout Ireland and the U.K. Plus, Cosmos is stretching travel dollars even further by featuring modern hotels located outside city centres, more free time, and more opportunities to dine at a choice of either a restaurant or a pub.

The sale is in effect until March 13, for departures throughout the year.

Cosmos is also known for its guaranteed-share program whereby single supplements can be waived together when Cosmos matches solo clients with a same-sex fellow traveller. The program has proven to be so popular that a third of Cosmos travellers are solo; even those who chose sale-priced single accommodation have the comfort in knowing that they won’t be lost in a sea of couples.
