TORONTO — Globus family of brands is providing additional support for travel advisors with newly restructured and expanded sales and trade marketing teams.
As part of this restructure, the company, which markets and sells Globus, Cosmos and Avalon Waterways, has brought back Cory McGillivray, senior director of sales operations and channel marketing, to helm this new team. McGillivray spent nearly a decade with Globus family of brands in trade marketing before moving to Silversea, where he expanded the cruise line’s trade distribution across the Mid-Atlantic. Now, back with the Globus family, he will be responsible for enhancing marketing and sales growth opportunities across the United States and Canada.
Joining McGillivray and increasing the company’s trade marketing team by 50% are: Dave Llewelyn, manager of sales development and channel marketing who previously spent five years at G Adventures; Faith McDade, marketing coordinator; and Tamara Olton, partner training specialist.
“Merging our sales and channel marketing teams creates a seamless path to success for our Advisor partners,” said McGillivray. “Through shared insights, coordinated strategies and tailored resources, our sales team – now supported by a group of new and expert trade marketing specialists – creates a symbiotic relationship where both teams leverage the strengths of the other to better navigate the dynamic landscape of the travel industry, ensuring our valued Advisor partner needs are not just met, but exceeded. With this new, improved team approach, we’re committed to giving ‘U’ – our partners – everything ‘U’ need to succeed!”
Camile Olivere, chief sales officer for the Globus family of brands, added: “Our partnership with advisors goes beyond providing extraordinary travel experiences and a variety of travel styles for their clients; we’re interested in their profitability. As a dedicated ‘Partner for Profit,’ our new and restructured team places a spotlight on our dedication to advisor partners. We are fully invested in helping ‘U’ grow business with all the sales and marketing support ‘U’ need to succeed.”
The news comes on the heels of Globus family of brands launching a new Travel Advisor Portal (TAP) earlier this month. The new portal allows advisors to share and search itineraries, book travel experiences and manage client reservations, and features an updated design and user interface. Phase 1 of the platform has already been rolled out and can be accessed here.
