TORONTO — Just in time for Canada Day, Contiki has announced the launch of its new ‘USA & Canada 2018-20’ program featuring a range of 25 adventures across the continent.
The new program comes on the heels of the company’s recent studies that showed a trend towards travel to areas of natural beauty, with half of young respondents highlighting nature and the outdoors as two major factors in their travel plans. Known worldwide for its abundance of untouched wilderness, Canadians are now increasingly looking to their own “backyards” for their travels, says Contiki.
To entice Canadians to explore their own country, Contiki is offering savings up to $1,319, or 10% off, if they pay in full by Sept. 5, 2018. For clients looking to road trip with their group of friends and family, everyone can save 10% when 10 or more travellers book on the same adventure, or the 11th person travels free; 7.5% when seven or more book together; and 5% when four or more book.
“We’re excited to launch this new program as an ode to our beautiful country and continent,” said Sheralyn Berry, President of Contiki Canada. “From snow-capped Grouse Mountain, the never ending outside activities in Banff, ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’ at the Calgary Stampede to the cobblestone streets of Quebec City, travelling on any of our Contiki road trips are guaranteed to be packed with immersive experiences, great value and of course, delicious quintessentially Canadian food!”
New for 2018-20 is the ‘Orlando Explorer’, an un-escorted three- or five-day stay that includes admission for a one (three-day version of the trip) or two-day (five-day version) park to park admission to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure with easy access to the area’s famous amusement parks. This short-stay trip does not need to be booked in conjunction with a trip and can be booked as a standalone.
Also available is the 13-day ‘Canada & The Rockies (plus Calgary Stampede) itinerary, which includes highlights like the Lillooet Mountain Range, Kamloops, Jasper, Banff, Calgary and Vancouver. Due to popular demand, more departures have been added during the Calgary Stampede, which features 10 days of nonstop entertainment.
Clients can also book the 20-day ‘Grand Canadian’ road trip, which takes in the sights of Vancouver, Toronto, Quebec City and Montreal and includes a stay in Jasper National Park.
