ST. LUCIA — There’s luxury and then there’s downright dreamy, which is the only way to describe the new Beachfront Collection at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort in St. Lucia.
Best known for its prime location (it’s nestled between the island’s Pitons) and its decadent accommodations (each room has a private garden and plunge pool), the ultra-glam resort recently hosted a travel industry luncheon in Toronto to share news about its latest endeavour.
Currently in its final phase of construction, the Beachfront Collection will comprise five 4-bedroom residences on the newly created – and powdery white-sand – Glenconner Beach. Two of the residences have already been sold and will be ready for guests by December.
The remaining three residences are still available for purchase, ranging from US$8.25-$15 million. Construction will begin once they’ve been sold, and once built these residences will join Sugar Beach’s room inventory (when not in use by the owners and at their discretion), becoming the resort’s highest room category.
All residences are commissionable and can be booked directly with Sugar Beach’s reservations team or on its website.
The Beachfront Collection’s top selling points include reflection pools at each residence’s entryway to make it appear the home is floating, cantilevered infinity-edged pools, shaded pergolas, outdoor showers, and private beach access. Inside each residence, guests will find floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, double-height living areas flooded with natural light, custom-built Italian kitchens with Gaggenau appliances and reflection pools that surround the Master Bedroom.
Other luxury details include five-fixture bathrooms with rain showers, ocean and Piton views from every bathroom, dining gazebos, and sunset yoga decks that overlook the beach. Guests also enjoy exclusive use of the private jetty for boat pick-up/drop-off, Priority status to all Sugar Beach facilities and amenities, Priority reservations for all recreational water sport, on-property auto privileges and private parking at their Residence, and much more.
Located on the southwest coast of St. Lucia, the AAA 4-Diamond Sugar Beach is the epitome of luxury, featuring four fine dining restaurants and three bars, the award-winning Rainforest Spa, Padi Dive Center, beach and poolside dining, 24/7 room service and in-residence private chefs. It was recently designated as one of the 60 Resorts in the Caribbean (2016) at the Condé Nast Travel (U.S.) Readers’ Choice Awards, as well as Favorite Caribbean Luxury Hotel at The Telegraph Caribbean Travel Awards in 2015.
