MISSISSAUGA — Collette is notifying the trade of an “immediate change” to its leadership team, announcing the departure of well-known travel industry veteran Doug Patterson who served as President of Collette Canada for the past year and a half.
“Following a mutually amicable decision between Collette and Doug Patterson, we’re announcing that he will be stepping away from his role as President, effective immediately.”
Patterson joined Collette Canada in March 2016. He was President of Trafalgar Canada from 2009 to 2015 and President of Insight Vacations Canada from 1996 to 2009. From 1988 – 1996 he was Sales Manager, Eastern Canada for Contiki.
Asked for comment, Collette issued this statement from Christian Leibl-Cote, Collette’s Senior Vice President of Global Business: “Collette is committed to making this a seamless change for both travel professionals as well as our guests. Ron Lonsdale, Vice President, will provide guidance and leadership to the team during this transition. He has served many roles during his 23+ years with Collette and will continue to be a resource in the travel industry.”
