MONTREAL — Club Med has pulled the curtain on the latest development to Club Med Punta Cana resort, unveiling the new adults-only Zen Oasis area.

Concealed along the northeast edge of the resort, the private hideaway is ideal for both leisure guests as well as corporate meeting and incentive groups “looking for elegantly appointed accommodation”, says the company.

Couples can escape for a romantic getaway while multigenerational families can drop the children off at the Children’s Club and get some quality grownup time.

Zen Oasis has a dedicated concierge, a peaceful pool area featuring in-water lounge chairs and an Olympic sized lap pool, a secluded quiet beach, a breezy palapa for yoga sessions on the beach and the Hibiscus Bar & Lounge serving healthy smoothies, teas, light bites and delectable cocktails.

The 78 Zen Oasis rooms meanwhile have spa-like bathrooms with rainfall showers, large soaking tubs, soothing lighting, L’Occitane toiletries, and wellness amenities such as yoga mats. The rooms also feature large outdoor spaces with plush daybeds on private terraces or gardens for lounging. Sleek 49” Smart TVs provide guests with access to a complimentary movie library and Bluetooth content connectivity, as well as access to personal Netflix and Spotify accounts.

The first L’Occitane Spa in the Caribbean now has a new look with the addition of a second story with two new VIP Couples Suites offering relaxing treatment beds and plush sofa seating, as well as a second room housing indulgent hydrotherapy tubs to experience unique aromatherapy bath treatments. An additional VIP Bath Suite features two hydrotheraphy tubs allowing one or two persons to enjoy a one of the new specialized water treatments. All VIP spa suites boast floor-to-ceiling views of the tranquil beach area and turquoise waters of the D.R.

The spa menu will feature two new offerings: The Spa Bath Experience and VIP Couples packages. The new Couple VIP experiences allow guests to choose from three themes (Relaxing, Revitalizing and Sport) combined with one of three unique packages (Coconut Tree Siesta, Sand Dunes Rest and Lagoon Invitation) with prices starting at $390.

Club Med Punta Cana’s new Indigo Beach Lounge features beach chic style with waterfront a la carte dining amidst views of the Caribbean Sea. All resort guests can take advantage of adult-only dining in the evenings. Once the restaurant closes after dinner, Indigo transforms into a nightclub.

The 631-room Club Med Punta Cana is also home to Club Med CREACTIVE by Cirque Du Soleil. The resort’s luxury Tiara 5-Trident area has undergone a full renovation of the deck and pool bar, as well as updated lighting and furniture to further enhance the guest experience. All Club and Deluxe Rooms in the Cortes & Pizarro buildings have been fully renovated featuring new furniture, floors, paint and bathrooms.
