MIAMI — Club Med is showing off the new expansion to its family-centric Aguamarina concept at its all-inclusive resort in Cancun.
With the new expansion the Aguamarina family oasis area is now more than double the size and offers new experiences and accommodations, says the company.
The new Aguamarina expansion introduces 60 all-new oceanfront family rooms – 30 Club Rooms and 30 Deluxe Rooms – with two-bedroom accommodations to create a comfortable experience for both parents and children while still keeping them connected.
This expansion increases the Aguamarina capacity to 120 family accommodations. Additionally, the new rooms are outfitted with upgraded safes that can be opened directly with the guests’ wristbands.
Outside of the family accommodations, Aguamarina also now features a new dedicated reception area and concierge service.
The reimagined area boasts a new pool dedicated to families with water games, lounge areas and outdoor activities for all-day entertainment.
The pool area also plays host to La Marina, a new family bar that features a dedicated kids’ corner with a beverage and snack menu specially for children and their taste buds. During the afternoon, La Marina will “surprise and delight” families daily with special treats and surprises that change from day to day.
“As Club Med continues to stay on the pulse point of consumer trends and the changing demands of families, we’re thrilled to unveil the Aguamarina expansion, which has adopted unique elements specifically with families in mind,” shared Xavier Mufraggi, CEO of Club Med North America. “As the original resort to open on Cancún’s most pristine stretch of beach at the tip of the iconic Riviera Maya, the Aguamarina family oasis is yet another way the property sets itself apart from the rest.”
Club Med Cancún Yucatán underwent a full resort enhancement at the end of 2017, including upgrades to the 5-Trident Jade area; a full renovation of all rooms; a refresh to the meetings and events spaces; all-new wellness experiences and new and refreshed dining concepts.
