TORONTO — Christine James, Vice President of Travel Leaders Network in Canada, is celebrating a remarkable milestone: 25 years with the largest network of travel agencies in North America.
Having travelled to 92 countries—with plans to reach 100 by the end of 2025—James continues to draw inspiration from her global experiences, fuelling her passion and dedication to the industry.
A well-known figure in Canada’s travel and tourism sector, James has garnered widespread recognition over the years, known for her leadership and expertise. She began her career with Travel Leaders Network in 1999 as a Business Development Manager; since then, she has climbed the ranks, holding roles such as Director of National Sales, Senior Director of Industry Relations, and Country Manager for Canada. In 2010, she was named Vice President, Canada, overseeing the network’s operations in the country. Today, she leads a team of four, managing a network of over 600 Canadian agencies with a combined annual sales volume of $520 million.
Reflecting on her milestone anniversary, James said, “I’m so proud and privileged to celebrate my 25th work anniversary with such a well-respected company like Travel Leaders Network. I can’t believe how the time has flown, and I’m thrilled to continue this journey with such a great company.”
James also expressed gratitude for the relationships she’s built over the years. “I’ve worked with so many talented individuals, including many members and suppliers I started with back in 1999. They’ve become like family, and those connections make my work all the more rewarding.”
