MISSISSAUGA — TICO has charged Libia Guerra Paez of the Greater Toronto Area with two separate counts contrary to the Travel Industry Act, 2002.

Paez, the operator of Representaciones Neward Inc., is charged with one count of operating as a travel agent without being registered, and one count of failing to take reasonable care to prevent Representaciones Neward Inc. from committing the offence of selling travel under paragraph 31(2) of the Act.

Separately, TICO has also charged Representaciones Neward Inc. with one count of selling travel services without being registered contrary to section 4(1)(a) of the Act.

Paez will appear in court on April 4, 2019.
