MISSISSAUGA — After being charged by TICO, Michael Shane Adams has plead guilty to operating a travel agency and offering short-term rentals without TICO registration.
In addition, Adams plead guilty to operating a website offering for sale the arrangement of short-term rentals of various properties.
He was found guilty on March 26 of contravening section 4(1) of the Travel Industry Act, 2002 and was fined $3,000 plus Victim Fine Surcharge.
Adams had previously indicated that he would be submitting an application to register with TICO but did not follow through with completing the application process. To date, he has never been registered with TICO as a Travel Agent.
