BRISBANE – The Carnival Spirit is moving to a new home, one that’s halfway around the world in Brisbane, Australia.
Carnival Cruise Line has announced that the Spirit will become the brand’s first-ever ship to home port in the Australian city following news that the ACCC approved a new cruise ship terminal in Brisbane. The ship will arrive in her new home in 2020, from where it will sail year round to Vanuatu and New Caledonia, as well as destinations in North Queensland on shorter cruises.
Onboard, guests will have a wide choice of entertaining activities and amenities, including Green Thunder, the fastest and steepest waterslide at sea, as well as three swimming pools, the child-free Serenity Retreat, and more than 20 bars, lounges and dining options.
Itineraries for Carnival Spirit’s 2020 Brisbane sailings will be announced mid-June with bookings opening in early July 2018.
