MIAMI — In conjunction with National Cruise Vacation Week (NCVW), Carnival Cruise Lines is offering travel agents a special promotion awarding 3,000 points per booking in its Travel Agent Rewards program for all new 2014 bookings made during NCVW, which runs Oct. 20-27, 2013.
Travel agents who enter their bookings in the Rewards Program will automatically receive the additional bonus points and also will be entered to win a free seven-day cruise awarded each day during National Cruise Vacation Week.
Travel agents will earn 3,000 points for each booking made on all 2014 sailings, 20 times the normal 150 point value for a new booking. Travel agents will also have the opportunity to win one of eight week-long cruises awarded during the NCVW promotional period.
Winners of the free cruise drawing will be selected at random and will be announced at the end of the promotion.
The promotion is available to the more than 25,000 travel agents who are currently enrolled in the program or to new members who enroll during National Cruise Vacation Week.
The only program of its kind in the cruise industry, Carnival’s Travel Agent Rewards program enables agents to earn points for the activities they do every day in working with Carnival including: making a new booking; sailing on Carnival as a travel agent; booking a cruise rookie; attending a tradeshow, training session or other Carnival event; reading e-mails from Carnival on sales, news and promotions; graduating from Carnival Passport program levels; visiting GoCCL.com.
Travel agents can earn 50 to 3,000 points per activity. Points can be redeemed for Carnival logo items, $50 and $100 Visa/MasterCard gift cards, iPads and flat screen TVs.
Redemption items are valued between 2,500 to 100,000 points.
“The combination of additional agent bonus rewards points and our very attractive consumer offer for National Cruise Vacation Month, which includes significant savings, shipboard credits, free upgrades and reduced deposits, makes booking Carnival more valuable for both our travel agent partners and their clients,” said Mike Julius, Carnival’s senior managing director of U.S. trade sales. “In addition, the 3,000 bonus reward points and drawing for free Caribbean cruises are not only terrific incentives but also our way of saying ‘thank you’ to our valued travel agent partners.”
Travel agents must book their clients on 2014 sailings during National Cruise Vacation Week and enter their eligible bookings in the Travel Agent Rewards Program in order to receive the bonus rewards points and be entered to win a free cruise.
